Having an estate sale sounds easy. Can’t I do it myself?
It does seem easy, but it is far more complicated. First, you must be familiar with the fair market value of what you’re selling. Then there’s the very time consuming task of sorting and pricing everything, effectively advertising your estate sale, and knowing the ins and outs of actually conducting the estate sale. During the estate sale event, you’ll need sufficient and knowledgeable help. It can be overwhelming. That’s where our experience and expertise is beneficial. We will focus on the job at hand and complete your estate sale in an efficient and timely manner.
What do I have to do?
Very little! You just have to determine what you want to sell, and we’ll do the rest. We make it so easy that you don’t even have to be present at the sale.
How much time will all this take?
We will schedule your estate sale based on your best needs. It generally takes about a week to prepare for the estate sale and from two to three days to actually conduct the sale.
What are the costs?
Typically our fee is 30% of the proceeds of your sale. This is the only charge you will pay. All other advertising, supplies, labor costs, signage, etc. are included, and all charges are settled after the sale is complete. You pay no up-front fees for your estate sale preparation.
How will my estate sale be advertised?
When it comes to advertising your estate sale, we cover all the bases, beginning with our proprietary email list of over 4,000+ contacts. We also contract with professional estate sale marketing companies that do a fantastic job of promoting our sales. In addition, there will be newspaper advertising the week of the sale. Professional signs are strategically posted during the sale to direct traffic to your location.
We have a very large and loyal following among estate sale buyers, and your sale will benefit from that history.
Will everything sell?
We will sell almost everything, but there are always few items that do not sell. We can arrange to have them hauled away.
